Conference: The 78th Annual Meeting of the Society for Biotechnology, Japan (SBJ 2026)

1. Introduction

NEXUS members from Universiti Malaya (UM) participated in the Annual Meeting of the Society for Biotechnology, Japan (SBJ), held at Hokkaido University in September 2026, and delivered two oral presentations in the general session. Participation in SBJ was part of the exchange activities hosted by Hokkaido University, providing the visiting researchers with an opportunity to share their research with the Japanese biotechnology community.

3. Conclusion

The presentations at SBJ 2026 provided the NEXUS members with a valuable opportunity to share their research with researchers in Japan and to exchange ideas on biotechnology for environmental and resource-recovery applications. We thank the organizing committee of SBJ 2026 for hosting the meeting.
